Microsoft said it is looking into the issue and rolled out a fix for the potential cause to Canary. The issue seems to have majorly affected the stable version, Edge 90. I hope its not hardware failureĬode: Select all Commit Log for Wed Mar 2 08:23:28 2011Įject (2.1.5+deb1+cvs20081104-7.1) to 2.1.Some users on online forums reported Microsoft Edge freezes and crashes when they watch a Youtube video on Full Screen. (If theres any more info that can help, ask.)Īnyways, I have no clue where to go with this or what might be wrong, so I hope somebody here has a pointer in the right direction or even a full answer. I included the graphics because I figure it might have something to do with that (although this is based on nothing really). I havent seen a linux system crash as hard as this before. I tried to disable it but chromium wont let me right click on flash anymore and the settings menu item is grayed out in firefox for some reason.Īnyways, this has me stumped. I found a forums post talking about youtube making browsers crash and the solution for that was to disable hardware acceleration in the flash settings. The only thing I noticed with flash is that the flash on the linux mint frontpage made my whole system lag really bad for some reason. Other flash sites work fine I just watched a video on vimeo and it didn't crash. It happens in both browsers, as soon as a youtube video starts playing. My main browser is chromium (v 6.0.472.63) though, not firefox (3.6.13), but I have both installed. I messed around with firefox and TOR a bit earlyer and it started somewhere after that (not sure if its related). I've been using LMDE (64bit) for a bit now and everything worked just out of the box, however since today I can no longer go to youtube because it makes my whole system crash HARD and I have to hard reset my machine.
